Relación del sobrepeso y la obesidad con la presencia de alteraciones posturales lumbares

Las situaciones de sobrepeso y obesidad han tendido a ser cada vez más frecuentes en la población, hasta el punto de llegar a convertirse en uno de los problemas de salud pública más importantes dentro de las poblaciones modernas. Sin embargo hasta el momento el interés de la investigación en este contexto, además de describir las características de ocurrencia del fenómeno, se ha concentrado en establecer las relaciones del sobrepeso y la obesidad como uno de los factores más importantes en el desencadenamiento de enfermedades cardiovasculares, no siendo frecuentes los estudios que traten de investigar cómo las situaciones de sobrepeso y obesidad llevan a cambios en las funciones biomecánicas lumbopélvicas, que producirían la ocurrencia de alteraciones posturales lumbares, las cuales traerían impactos negativos para esta región, al igual que gasto energético de resistencia y mayor dificultad cardiopulmonar en el desempeño de la actividad física y deportiva.Descargas
